short answer
More than 20 US labs take peptide samples by mail, so the method matters more than the state. Check four things: identity by mass or only by retention time, "sterility" that means the 14-day USP <71> test, an endotoxin result given as a number, and a published turnaround. Then check how you can verify the report. Texas, Florida and California have the most labs we found.
US peptide testing labs at a glance
Our September 2026 scan found more than 20 US labs that take peptide samples from buyers or sellers. The table lists 15 of them, with what each lab’s own site or sample report showed. “Not published” means we found no figure on the lab’s pages. It does not mean the lab is slow.

Peptide testing by state
People search for a lab in their own state, but every lab above takes samples by mail. A local lab mainly saves transit time. If your state is missing, pick on method and verification instead.
- Texas: Krause Analytical in Austin; MDx BioAnalytical and Bioviridian in College Station. None of the labs we found lists an address in Houston or Dallas.
- Florida (Miami, Orlando, Tampa): BTLabs in West Palm Beach and ACS near Tampa. Colmaric Analyticals in St. Petersburg and Accurate Test Lab in Fort Lauderdale also list peptide HPLC testing.
- California (San Diego, Orange County): PharmLabs and ILS in San Diego, Accumark in Anaheim.
- Arizona: Ethos Analytics in Phoenix, MZ Biolabs in Tucson.
- Washington State: Vanguard Laboratory in Olympia.
- Tennessee (Nashville): Freedom Diagnostics in Franklin.
- Michigan and New Hampshire: TrustPointe in Dorr, Chromate in Hudson.
- New York: Ichor Life Sciences in Syracuse tests peptides as a Finnrick partner lab; its own site has no peptide-testing offer.
Four things that separate US labs
Identity: mass or retention time
A retention-time match shows that a peak left the HPLC column when the reference standard did. Some different peptides leave the column at nearly the same time. ACS makes the point on its own site: retention time alone “can be matched by a similar peptide.” Labs that read the mass (MZ Biolabs, Freedom, Krause, ACS, MDx, Bioviridian, BioRegen) check that the molecule has the expected mass. Vanguard, Ethos, TrustPointe and Accumark rely on retention time, Chromate lists HPLC as its default method, PharmLabs lists HPLC without mass spectrometry, and ILS sells LC-MS identity as an add-on. Our LC-MS identity guide explains the difference, and the identity test page shows what a mass result looks like.
Sterility: three tests share one word
The compendial USP <71> test incubates the sample for at least 14 days and looks for growth. Krause, TrustPointe, Bioviridian and Accumark list it, and Vanguard offers it as an option. Chromate lists membrane-filtration sterility “per USP <71>” but publishes no incubation time; ask whether you will get the full 14-day test. Freedom and Accumark also sell PCR screens for microbial DNA, ILS sells a DNA microarray screen, and PharmLabs reports a microbial count in 3 to 5 business days. These answer narrower questions in less time, and none of them is the 14-day sterility test. See which labs run a real 14-day sterility test.
Endotoxin: ask for the number
Most labs here list a LAL endotoxin test, in different formats: kinetic chromogenic (Chromate, BioRegen, ILS) and gel clot (Ethos). BioRegen names its reader, an Endosafe nexgen-PTS, and ILS states results in EU/mg. Whichever lab you use, ask for a result in EU per vial or EU per mg, not only “pass”.
Turnaround: published, and counted from when
Freedom Diagnostics publishes an average of 1 to 3 business days. TrustPointe, PharmLabs and Bioviridian state 3 to 5, ILS about a week, and ACS 9 to 11 business days. Accumark quotes 48 to 72 hours from sample acceptance, and ILS counts the receipt date as day 0 for its 3-day rush. Ask which event starts the clock, then add transit time. Our turnaround guide goes through each step.
Accreditation: read the scope
ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation covers only the methods listed in the lab’s scope. Vanguard holds A2LA certificate 6377.01. Its scope includes food microbiology, preservatives and residual solvents including trifluoroacetic acid, and does not list peptide purity, identity, endotoxin or sterility. PharmLabs holds PJLA certificate L25-933-R1, and its scope lists 10 peptides by HPLC, including BPC-157, semaglutide and ipamorelin. Retatrutide, tirzepatide and TB-500 are not on that list. Ethos Analytics shows page one of a PJLA certificate on its site, without the scope pages. MDx says its accreditation expired and re-accreditation is pending after a March 2026 audit. Accumark’s home page says “ISO 17025 Pending”.
We do not hold ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation. Our guide to ISO/IEC 17025 for peptides shows how to read a scope document.
Brokers and free community testing
Some services do not run the tests themselves. Finnrick, a rating site that serves US buyers, offers free community testing of identity, purity and quantity. It picks the lab, publishes the result and asks for a batch ID with photo evidence. Its partner labs in September 2026 included Krause, BTLabs, Ichor Life Sciences and PharmLabs. CheckPeptide names Ethos Analytics as the lab behind its panels, and BatchGuild refers buyers to Accumark.
The lab that measures your vial sets the method and the way the report is verified. Find out which lab it is before you pay. Our Finnrick guide covers how its free tests and ratings work.
Sending samples from the US to a lab abroad
US buyers also mail samples overseas. Janoshik in the Czech Republic takes samples from any country and sends shipping instructions after payment. Its standard peptide test reports mg per vial and purity, with an average turnaround of 7 business days. A parcel that leaves the US needs an accurate customs declaration, and the courier’s rules apply. Our guides on where to test peptides and how to send peptides for testing cover packing and paperwork.
What HK Analytical does for US buyers
One order can cover identity (LC-MS), purity (HPLC), content per vial, blind GLP-1 identification, endotoxin (LAL), Sterility (USP <71>, 14 days), residual solvents, counter-ion (TFA, acetate), water content (Karl Fischer) and vial-to-vial consistency, in any mix per sample. Results within days of receipt. Sterility (USP <71>, 14 days) is the one test that takes 14 days, because the method incubates for 14 days.
Every number comes with its raw data. The report is a signed record with the lab’s own photo of the vial as received, and anyone with its private link can check it at hkanalytical.com/verify. Quotes are on request at /quote. Once you accept a quote, we send your sample numbers and the address, and the vials travel unopened with the custody form inside. The steps are on how it works.
Questions
What is the best peptide testing lab in the USA?
No single lab fits every question. Choose by what you need answered: a lab that measures identity by mass if a wrong peptide is your worry, a 14-day USP <71> test if you need sterility, and a lab whose reports you can verify online. Then compare published turnaround and ask when the clock starts. The table on this page shows what each lab states.
Are there peptide testing labs in Texas?
Yes. Krause Analytical is in Austin, and MDx BioAnalytical and Bioviridian are both in College Station. Krause and Bioviridian take mailed samples and MDx quotes on request, so you do not need to live nearby. Krause and MDx publish no turnaround figure; Bioviridian states 3 to 5 business days for orders under 20 samples. None of the labs we found lists a Houston or Dallas address.
Where can I get peptides tested in California?
PharmLabs and ILS Laboratories are in San Diego, and Accumark Labs is in Anaheim in Orange County. They differ on identity method and on what they call sterility, so read each lab's test list before you choose. All of them accept samples by mail.
Is there free peptide testing in the US?
Finnrick offers free community testing of identity, purity and quantity. Finnrick chooses the lab, publishes the result, and asks for a batch ID with photo evidence. Its target turnaround for free tests is about four weeks. Paid tests at a lab of your choice give you control over the lab, the panel and who sees the result.
Can I send peptides from the US to a lab abroad?
Yes. Janoshik in the Czech Republic, for example, takes samples from any country and sends shipping instructions after payment. Declare the contents accurately and follow your courier's rules. Allow for the extra transit time, because a published turnaround counts from when the lab receives or accepts the vial.
