short answer
Krause Analytical is a contract testing lab in Austin, Texas, that added peptides in 2025. It tests purity, quantity and identity by HPLC-UV and HPLC-MS, with USP <71> sterility, endotoxin and residual solvents as add-ons. It is Finnrick's largest partner lab. It quotes prices on request, publishes no turnaround, and verifies COAs through an upload form that the lab answers by email.
What Krause Analytical is and where it is based
Krause Analytical, LLC is a contract research and testing lab in Austin, Texas, USA. Its About page calls it “small, minority-owned”. The lab tests hemp, food, colours, pesticides and grain, and offers batch release, stability and forensic work. Its peptide service started in 2025. The laboratory director, who signs the reports, states over 45 years of experience in analytical testing.
Most buyers meet Krause through Finnrick. Finnrick lists 6,372 published Krause tests across 26 peptides and 315 vendors from April 2025 to September 2026, which is more than half of all its named-lab results.

Tests and methods Krause lists
The peptide page offers “routine analysis for purity, potency and identity” by HPLC-UV and HPLC-MS. Its compound list includes semaglutide, tirzepatide, retatrutide, cagrilintide, mazdutide, survodutide, orforglipron, BPC-157, TB-500, GHK-Cu, hCG, HGH and many more. It also tests named blends such as KLOW, GLOW and CJC-1295 with ipamorelin, and other blends if all their compounds are on the list.
Add-ons:
- Sterility, 14 days, USP <71>.
- Endotoxin by LAL, USP <85>.
- Residual solvents, USP <467>.
- A package for bacteriostatic water: benzyl alcohol, endotoxin and sterility.
TFA and water content are not on the list. The instrument page lists GC with MS and headspace, LC with MS and triple quadrupole MS/MS, ion chromatography, FT-IR and scanning UV-Vis, among others.
Krause’s published method details
Krause answered Finnrick’s methodology questionnaire in March 2026. The answers say:
- The system is calibrated with reference materials, with a check standard in every run.
- By default, the lab runs one preparation, one injection and one vial. A multi-vial or multi-injection option is available.
- UV measures quantity and impurities. MS confirms identity.
- The check standard must fall within 10%, which the lab says sets the lower limit of error at 10%.
- Chromatographic values are valid to two significant figures.
- The report gives mg recovered and the percentage of the label claim.
The answers also argue that area-percent purity says little about how much peptide is in a vial. Our guide to what purity means on a COA covers the same point.
How identity is confirmed
Every Krause peptide report includes a full LC-MS spectrum, beside the HPLC chromatogram. The reports we read do not print the expected mass or the error, and they show no peak table. The comparison table records identity as “LC-MS spectrum; no expected mass or error”. A reader with the peptide’s formula can still compare the spectrum’s main ions with the expected values.
Endotoxin and sterility at Krause
Krause lists sterility by the 14-day USP <71> method, which the comparison table marks as meeting that standard. Endotoxin is by LAL per USP <85>. Both are add-ons to the peptide test, and the bacteriostatic water package bundles them with a benzyl alcohol assay.
Krause turnaround
Krause does not publish a turnaround on its site. Ask when you request a quote. Finnrick publishes its own end-to-end times for the tests it orders, which include shipping to the lab.
How to verify a Krause Analytical COA, step by step
- Get the original PDF from the seller. The lab states that screenshots or transposed documents cannot be validated.
- Open krauselabs.com/coa-verification yourself.
- Enter your name, email, address and the vendor’s name, and upload the PDF.
- Wait for the lab’s reply by email.
- If the report has a Finnrick header, check it on Finnrick’s site instead. That needs a Finnrick account.
While you wait, read the report itself. It runs to three or four pages: a summary, the HPLC chromatogram, the mass spectrum and a methods section. It shows the label claim, measured mg, percentage of label, the received, analysis and issue dates, and a vial photo with the lab’s sticker. Our COA verification guide lists the checks that apply to any lab.
How to order Krause testing
- Ask for a quote through the contact page.
- Fill in the client intake form. It has a separate “CoA Header Information” section for the company name printed on the report. Changes after the final report carry a reprinting fee.
- Download the chain of custody form. For each sample, give the name, label claim in mg, batch or lot and the tests. The form holds 12 samples.
- Ship the samples with the form to the receiving address in Austin printed on it.
There is no online ordering or test kit.
Who Krause Analytical suits
Krause suits compounders, brands and vendors who want:
- a contract lab with a broad instrument base;
- an LC-MS spectrum on every peptide report;
- USP <71> sterility and residual solvents;
- blend testing;
- their company name on the report.
It suits buyers less well if they want published prices, online ordering, a published turnaround or an instant online check. See peptide testing labs compared and Janoshik alternatives for other options.
How HK Analytical differs
Our identity result prints the expected and observed mass with the error, and every number comes with its raw data. We also test counter-ion (TFA, acetate) and water content, and run Sterility (USP <71>, 14 days). Each report is a signed record that anyone with the private link can check on /verify. Results within days of receipt. Sterility (USP <71>, 14 days) is the one test that takes 14 days, because the method incubates for 14 days. We do not hold ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation. See the example report.
Questions
Where is Krause Analytical located?
Krause Analytical, LLC is in Austin, Texas, USA. Its About page describes it as a small, minority-owned contract research and testing laboratory. The chain of custody form gives a separate sample receiving address in Austin, so ship samples to that address.
How much does Krause Analytical peptide testing cost?
Krause does not publish prices on its own site. Its contact page asks you to send a form for pricing inquiries, and the lab quotes on request. Finnrick also sells tests that Krause runs, at prices Finnrick publishes on its own lab page.
How do I verify a Krause Analytical COA?
Use the COA verification form on krauselabs.com. Give your name, email, address and the vendor's name, and upload the original PDF from your vendor. The lab states that screenshots or transposed documents cannot be validated. It replies by email. A report with a Finnrick header is checked on Finnrick's site, which needs a sign-in.
Does Krause Analytical test sterility and endotoxin?
Yes. Its peptide page lists sterility by the 14-day USP <71> method and endotoxin by LAL per USP <85> as add-ons. It also offers residual solvents per USP <467> and a package for bacteriostatic water that covers benzyl alcohol, endotoxin and sterility.
Is Krause the lab behind Finnrick test results?
Krause is Finnrick's largest partner lab. Finnrick lists 6,372 published Krause tests, across 26 peptides and 315 vendors, from April 2025 to September 2026. Finnrick relabels samples before the lab sees them, and Finnrick-ordered reports carry a Finnrick header with the Krause footer and signature.
