Peptide testing in Australia: the local lab, what it tests and how to send samples overseas

short answer

Yes, you can get peptides tested in Australia. Our September 2026 scan found one Australian lab marketing peptide tests to buyers: Ozcanium Analytics in Sydney, which reports identity by LC-MS/MS, purity by UPLC and mg per vial. It lists endotoxin and vial-to-vial checks but no sterility test. For other tests, buyers in every state and in New Zealand mail their vials to a lab overseas.

Peptide testing labs in Australia

Our September 2026 scan found one Australian lab that markets peptide tests to buyers: Ozcanium Analytics in Sydney. It lists Australia as the area it serves and takes samples by post, so buyers in Melbourne, Brisbane, the Gold Coast, Perth or Adelaide use it the same way as buyers in Sydney.

Ozcanium Analytics What its site states
Core test Identity, purity and milligram content
Instruments Shimadzu LCMS-8030 triple quadrupole, plus UPLC with UV detection
Identity MRM and SIM ion checks by LC-MS/MS
Purity UPLC area percentage
Content Net mg against in-house calibration curves
Other tests Endotoxin screening, variance testing (extra vials of the same batch), blind GLP-1 identification, GC-MS profiles
Not on the menu Sterility, counter-ion (TFA)
Turnaround 4–10 business days typical, timed from payment, receipt and intake checks
Report check Verification code entered on its site

What Ozcanium reports, and how to check one

Ozcanium’s sample report lists the compound, CAS number, PubChem CID, lot, client, method, purity and net content in mg. It adds a verification code beginning “OZ-HPLCMS”. Page one carries the UPLC-UV chromatogram and peak list. Page two shows the LC-MS identity: the MRM transitions with their collision voltage, and the ions monitored against the ions detected. The lead chemist signs it.

To check a report, enter its code on the Ozcanium verify page, and compare the result with the copy you hold. If a code does not open a record, the site asks you to contact the lab. Our guide on how to verify a peptide COA works for any lab.

The endotoxin method is not named on Ozcanium’s site, so ask for the method, the unit (EU per vial or per mg) and the limit of quantitation before you order. Its blind GLP-1 test keeps the expected analogue off the lab paperwork, which removes one way a label can steer a result. Ozcanium’s site claims no NATA or ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation. We do not hold ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation.

How to choose a peptide testing lab in Australia

The same five questions work for Ozcanium and for any overseas lab:

  1. Which identity result will the report print? Ozcanium prints MRM and SIM ion checks. A retention time alone is weaker evidence.
  2. Is the mg net peptide or total powder? Ozcanium reports net mg, quantified against in-house calibration curves. Ask how the reference standard’s content was assigned, because that sets the basis of every mg figure.
  3. Which endotoxin method and unit? Ask for EU per vial or per mg and the limit of quantitation.
  4. How many vials? Ozcanium’s order form asks for the mass of each vial, and variance testing needs extra vials from the same batch. Our guide on how many vials a test needs explains why.
  5. Who can see the report? Ask whether results are private, and how a third person checks one.

Peptide testing reviews and community tests in Australia

Peptide Hub Australia, a comparison site, runs a “Community Transparency Program”: readers vote on which sellers’ products are tested, and the site publishes the Ozcanium reports. It has also published a review of the lab. Reddit and forum threads add single buyers’ accounts. The same checks apply to any review or community test, in any country: who paid for the test, who chose the vials, and whether the writer earns a referral fee.

Local lab or overseas lab

The choice depends on which tests you need and how much transit you accept.

Local lab (Ozcanium) Overseas lab
Transit Domestic post International courier, longer transit
Paperwork No customs declaration Customs declaration for the parcel
Identity by mass Yes, LC-MS/MS Depends on the lab; check the method
Sterility (USP <71>) Not listed Listed by some labs, such as Krause and TrustPointe in the US
Endotoxin Screening; method not named Usually LAL; ask for EU per vial or per mg
Batch consistency Variance testing Some labs offer extra-vial testing
Report check Code on the lab’s site Depends on the lab

If you only need identity, purity and mg, a local test avoids the international leg. For a 14-day sterility test, the labs in our scan that list USP <71> are overseas, and sterility needs its own unopened vials. TrustPointe, for example, asks for 4 to 20 unopened vials for USP <71>, depending on batch size. Janoshik lists “Sterility testing (TAMC+TYMC)”: a 14-day culture count of aerobic microbes, yeasts and moulds, reported pass or fail. A microbial count is a different method from USP <71>. Our guide to which labs run the 14-day USP <71> test compares them.

Sending peptides from Australia to an overseas lab

The labs in our US and Europe guides take samples by mail. Janoshik, a Czech company, takes samples from any country, sends shipping instructions after payment, and reports mg per vial and purity in an average of 7 business days.

A parcel leaving Australia needs an accurate customs declaration, and the courier’s rules apply. We do not give legal advice on what your country allows you to send. Ask the lab for its sample form first. Keep the vials sealed, number each one, and put the completed form inside. Ship with tracking and send the number to the lab. Labs usually count turnaround from receipt, so add international transit to any turnaround figure. Our guide on how to send peptides for testing covers each step.

New Zealand

Our September 2026 scan found no peptide lab marketing to buyers in New Zealand, and Ozcanium lists Australia as its service area. Buyers in Auckland and elsewhere mail their vials to a lab overseas. Ask the lab first whether it accepts parcels from New Zealand.

What HK Analytical does for buyers in Australia and New Zealand

Every standard test confirms identity by LC-MS and reports purity by HPLC and content per vial in mg. Any mix of blind GLP-1 identification, endotoxin (LAL), Sterility (USP <71>, 14 days), residual solvents, counter-ion, water content and vial-to-vial consistency can go in one order. Results within days of receipt. Sterility (USP <71>, 14 days) is the one test that takes 14 days, because the method incubates for 14 days.

Every number comes with its raw data. Each report is a signed record with the lab’s own photo of the vial as received, and anyone with its private link can check it at hkanalytical.com/verify. Quotes are on request at /quote. Accept a quote and we send your sample numbers and the address; the vials travel unopened, with the printed custody form inside.

Questions

Can you get peptides tested in Australia?

Yes. Ozcanium Analytics in Sydney tests identity, purity and mg content by LC-MS/MS and UPLC, and lists endotoxin, vial-to-vial and blind GLP-1 tests. It takes samples from anywhere in Australia by post. For a test it does not list, such as USP <71> sterility, send unopened vials to a lab overseas.

Is there a peptide testing lab in Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth or Adelaide?

We found none in our September 2026 scan. Ozcanium in Sydney serves the whole country by post, so you do not need to live nearby. Choose a lab by its methods and by how you can check its reports.

How do I get peptides tested in Australia?

Pick the lab and the tests, order on its site or ask for its sample form, keep the vials sealed, number them, fill in the form and post them with tracking. For an overseas lab, declare the contents accurately and follow the courier's rules. Results usually arrive by email with a code or link you can check on the lab's site.

Is there peptide testing in New Zealand?

Our scan found no peptide lab marketing to buyers in New Zealand. Ozcanium lists Australia as the area it serves, so New Zealand buyers can mail vials to a lab in the US, Europe or elsewhere. Ask the lab whether it accepts samples from New Zealand before you send.

Does an Australian lab do sterility testing for peptides?

Ozcanium's menu lists no sterility test. The compendial USP <71> test incubates samples for at least 14 days and needs its own unopened vials. Some overseas labs list it, such as Krause and TrustPointe in the US, so check the method name on the lab's own page before you order.
